I would seperate it at least in three segments: I would also love to have more variations of societies. For example as the traits won't change that easily it should be much more on the societies goal as well as only minor stat increases. I would prefer the societies to be available but to be nerfed a bit. The best thing about societies in CK2 was that they enabled a few modders to abuse the society system to implement interesting features like court societies (a bureaucracy). Another (dis)advantage could of course be stress: Depending on your personality, fighting duels either stresses you or might relieve stress.Īlso, apart from balancing a major flaw of societies in CK2 was that you ended up interacting with society members on the other side of the world. Then the stat gain is not free, but comes with the high risk of injury. A better system would mainly enable you to duel the other members and ONLY gaining the combat ability by winning duels (and a little bit for loosing as well). Maybe a simple example: The warrior lodge gives you huge buffs to your combat ability and martial score, granting you totally OP traits. The main benefit of being in something like a society should be the interaction with other members. Click to expand.Yes, the problem is that you join a society in order to gain skill points.
